Alke electric vehicles for the project CargoHopper are able to tow up to 3 ton thanks to a separate excitation motor with a power of 6kW and peak of 20kW,  with forced cooling for work in the most denanding conditions.

This solar powered vehicle is unique because it is a very good value. For this reason it is having a big success in professional sector where this kind of vehicle have duble price compared with that of ATX E. Its maximum speed in this configuration is 20 km/h (but it may vary up to 33 km/h following customer requirements), but it is  more than enought because this vehicle is used inside the historic center of Utrecht city and has a maximum autonomy of 60km per day.

The electric delivery van continues with deliveries to shops inside historic center and pedestrian area. Once empty, it collects from shops dry waste, in particular paperboard, paper and empty packagings, for recycling in order  to take advantage from the homeward journey.
In this way, with Alke' electric delivery van you reduce up to 100.000 kilometers of diesel and petrol vehicles inside city center and you save annually around 30 tons of  CO2.
The three trailers are driven on both axles which gives to the vehicle a great manoeuvrability.
It is a completely ecologic vehicle. This Alke' vehicle is designed for the delivery of packages and is able, in a working day, to do the work of 5 to 8 standard vans in areas where this kind of vehicles are not allowed to pass.
